Gary Alexander spent his early years in Joanna South Carolina. Gary began performing in his first bands at the young age of 12. Little did he know that within 3 years of his first performance he would be watching country music stars Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers perform nightly getting the “entertainment education” of a lifetime. Gary Forged a strong relationship with the brothers and went on to take his first performing job in their home state of Texas working for Opryland at their park in San Antonio. After spending a year at Fiesta Texas Gary would head back to Myrtle Beach and become the comedian at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. In 1999 Gary was offered the principle role in another production belonging to one of Country Music’s royal family. The Crook & Chase show had made their home in Myrtle Beach and Gary began performing audience warm up duties for their stage show as well as performing in the Musical they produced called “Summer of 66”. During his tenure with Crook & Chase Gary and members of the cast from the stage show Secured a Recording deal with Warner Brothers Records in a band called OCTOBER.

Celebrity Cruises would be the first international travel Gary would have in his performing career and after a year on the high seas Gary relocated to Vegas where he performed on the Las Vegas strip. Emcee work and hosting shows quickly became Gary’s next venture. While working in the booming Mixed Martial Arts business, Gary hosted and co hosted TV and Online shows that were benchmarks in the early days of the fledgling sport. After 10 years in Las Vegas Gary returned to his home in Myrtle Beach and in 2015 began working with Dolly Parton’s Pirates Voyage. Writing and recording original music once again became a priority for the South Carolinian.

After relocation to the Gulf shore of Florida in Sarasota, Gary has began to feel the support of the creative community up and down the left coast of the Sunshine state. New music is on it’s way after recording a new EP in Nashville at Sound Stage Nashville with producer Nick Autry.
