Jim McCormick is a three-time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum lyricist who has twice seen his work reach the #1 position on the Billboard country charts. His songs have been recorded by Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, Harry Connick Jr, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Cody Johnson, Trisha Yearwood, Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap, Jamey Johnson, Randy Travis, and many others. McCormick is staff songwriter at BMG Music Publishing and a faculty member in the film and music industry studies program of Loyola University where he teaches the craft and business of songwriting. He’s also a member of the faculty of Belmont University in Nashville. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and three sons.
